As a result of this rather complex thermal processing, CPR steel achieves a hardness of 63–64 HRC while maintaining impact toughness. It also gains corrosion resistance through grinding and polishing, though it is not fully stainless but rather semi-stainless. It rusts very slowly or only forms surface spots because it contains a high percentage of chromium (about 13%), requiring minimal maintenance. The blade is satin-finished, giving it a characteristic brushed look that enhances its appearance. The closest competitors to CPR in terms of chemical composition and use are tool steels D2 and D5. However, CPR outperforms them technically: it contains less carbon yet matches their hardness and exceeds them in strength, toughness, and wear resistance. Of course, CPR steel’s heat treatment is complicated, and the final price is somewhat higher.

The handle is made of Micarta, a highly decorative and structural composite material. Micarta is not only beautiful and durable but also provides excellent grip and resists temperature changes. The ergonomic shape ensures comfortable handling even during prolonged use. The main highlight of this handle is the 3D proprietary texturing, which allows the knife to hold firmly even with wet hands—an absolutely critical feature.
