Double-Sided diamond bar for sharpening the cutting edge. Suitable for TSPROF K03 and other sharpening systems can be equipped with 200mm long stones.

Modified OSB bundle. Double-Sided diamond bar for polishing the cutting edge.  There is no boron carbide in the abrasive of the stone, which allows grinding by diamond powder alone. This eliminates the effect on grinding of boron carbide particles, which the factory purchases and cannot control, unlike diamond powder, which is factory produced and controlled. This eliminates scratches during grinding.

The abrasive layer is based on an aluminium base in the centre. The thickness of the working abrasive layer is 2 mm on each side, which ensures its durability.

All Venev diamond stones are factory marked in micron grit (according to GOST 9206). For example, “50/40”  means that the stone contains only diamonds in the range between 50 to 40 microns, neither bigger, nor finer. If the marking reads “100/80-50/40”, it means that one side is 100/80, and the other is 50/40. The coarser the grain, the coarser the stone’s work.

For the convenience of our customers, our website also indicate the approximate correlation between the microns with the Fepa F standard grit. You can find it in the interactive table “here”.

FAQ:

What’s the convenience?

Buying one stone you have two different grit in one. The width of the bar is 35mm, which means that the working area is larger than normal bars. This speeds up the sharpening process.

What fluid to use?

These stones work well with many liquids:

  1. You can use a soapy water solution with Fairy. But, this kind of liquid evaporates faster than oil-based liquids. Which requires more frequent use.
    2. Pure olive oil. Works well, evaporates more slowly.
    3. Special oils for sharpening. Including oleic acid based oils.

What does it mean – Abrasive concentration: 100%?

The factory makes stones with 25%, 50% and 100% grain fill in the bond. This directly affects the cost of the stone. If speed and wear resistance are important to us in the initial stages (in such cases we recommend 100% concentration), then 25% may well be considered at the finish in order to save money.

What do the numbers on the stone 20/14, 14/10……..1/0 mean?

All Venev diamond stones are factory marked in micron grit (according to GOST 9206). For example, “50/40”  means that the stone contains only diamonds in the range between 50 to 40 microns, neither bigger, nor finer. If the marking reads “100/80-50/40”, it means that one side is 100/80, and the other is 50/40. The coarser the grain, the coarser the stone’s work.

What systems are they suitable for?

Due to the special aluminium base – most systems. TSPROF (all models), Apex, Edge PRO, Kazak, Zhuk and others.

We ourselves  do a lot of sharpening, so our team is ready to advise you if you have any matter.
